Founded with a vision to ensure every child has access to quality education, Restoring The Lost Smile has been transforming lives through structured sponsorship programs and community support since 2020.
To facilitate quality education for underprivileged children through structured sponsorship programs, community support, and partnerships with educational institutions. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve their dreams regardless of their background or circumstances.
A world where every child has access to quality education and the opportunity to reach their full potential. We envision communities where education is valued, supported, and accessible to all, creating a cycle of positive change that spans generations.
Restoring The Lost Smile was born from a simple yet powerful observation: many bright, eager children in Nairobi's informal settlements were being denied the chance to complete their education due to financial constraints. Despite their enthusiasm to learn and their potential to succeed, these children were forced to drop out of school, their dreams of a better future seemingly lost.
Our founder, Dr. Jane Wanjiku, began by sponsoring three children in Kibera. As word spread about the program and the children's success, more sponsors came forward, and more children were identified as needing support. What started as a small personal initiative has grown into a comprehensive program that not only provides financial support but also creates a community of care around each child.
Today, we work with schools across Nairobi's informal settlements, maintaining transparent relationships with sponsors, children, families, and educational institutions. Our approach ensures that every contribution makes a meaningful difference and that every child's progress is carefully monitored and celebrated.
